About The CIO of the Year® Awards

The CIO of the Year® Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in Georgia. The Awards honor technology executives who have shown excellence in managing enterprise-wide information systems. The CIO of the Year® Awards program will honor CIOs in following five categories:

  • Global - Over 2,500 IT users and multinational operation
  • Enterprise - Over 1,000 IT users
  • Corporate - Up to 1,000 IT users
  • Nonprofit / Public Sector - Not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, schools in the public sector
  • GCLA Lifetime Achievement Award - Recognition of an individual whose accomplishments have been acknowledged by peers and scholars, who has impacted the Georgia Technology Community, and had significant involvement within the GCLA
Participation

This event enjoys the active participation of more Georgia Chief Information Officers than any other event.  Estimated attendance is 700 executives.

Awards Background

Established in 1998, the CIO of the Year® Awards, presented by the Georgia CIO Leadership Association, is an annual awards program honoring chief information officers who have shown excellence in managing their company's or organization's enterprise-wide information systems. Finalists and award recipients are chosen by a selection committee comprised of award winners from the previous year.
